Tom Doorley had no problem with his favourite thing on the menu, as he really loved Dermot’s Autumn Berry Crumble  ‘I did actually say it ws the best crumble I have ever eaten in my entire life and I stand over that, it was I thought, absolutely fantastic’

Guest critic Neven Maguire thought the duck confit was the best dish on the menu  ‘I loved it, it was tender, it was falling off the bone, you could eat it off a spoon’  While he admited that there was little to fault in the food, he thought that when it came to the crabcake ‘There wasn’t enough of the crab in the cake’

Paolo Tullio found his own piece of beef slightly tough which he liked least in the menu but acknowledged that .. ‘everything around it was perfect, the execution was brilliant, the pastry was good, the mushroom duxelle was good, all of those bits were great’
