Tom Doorley

During his college days at TCD Tom made his first impact on the Irish media scene as a newsreader on pirate radio station ARD. Since then he has written about food and wine for many newspapers, including The Irish Independent, The Sunday Tribune, The Field, The Sunday Independent and The Daily Telegraph.

Tom has also had a successful career in the broadcast media featuring on shows such as Moveable Feast, The Big Stew and The Afternoon Show for RTE One. On radio Tom has recorded the series Food Talk for Radio 1 and contributes to The Marian Finucane Show regularly. These days you can read Tom’s regular restaurant column in the Irish Times each Saturday.

Since Tom moved to Waterford he started to grow his own organic vegetables which in turn led to publishing his 2004 book Muck and Merlot. Tom also published a book with his wife Johann, called Grow and Cook which will was published in 2007.

Paolo Tullio

Author, Critic, Chef, Actor and Broadcaster, Paolo is a true renaissance man. The former chef/proprietor of the award-winning Armstrong's Barn in Wicklow, Paolo is the host and the author of, a site dedicated to the joys of food and wine.

Paolo is the restaurant reviewer and wine correspondent for the Irish Independent and regularly contributes to Food & Wine magazine. He has published two books, North of Naples, South of Rome - an anecdotal tour of his part of Italy and, a novel set on the internet.

Paolo presented the television series North of Naples, South of Rome on RTÉ and has featured in many films such as The Butcher Boy, The General, The Tailor of Panama and most recently John Boorman's The Tiger's Tale.
