Rachel Allen is one of Ireland's best known TV Chefs, authors and journalists. Rachel was brought up in Dublin and left home at 18 to study at the renowned Ballymaloe Cookery School.
Rachel still teaches at Ballymaloe and she is the author of seven bestselling cookery books and hosts many top-rating TV series such as Bake! and Rachel Allen's Dinner Parties in Ireland. Rachel also presents on the BBC's Good Food Channel flagship programme Market Kitchen and her first show to be broadcast in the U.S. was Rachel's Favourite Food for Friends, which began airing in in March 2010 on the PBS Network.
Rachel writes a weekly column for The Mail On Sunday Magazine, and is a regular contributer to food magazines such as Food and Wine and BBC Good Food Magazine.
Rachel has also designed a hugely successful range of home-ware products. Rachel lives in Ballymaloe in County Cork with her husband Isaac, sons Lucca and Joshua, daughter Scarlett and their dog Buddy.
