Known as maître d' on "Hell's Kitchen," Nick Munier opened "Pichet" restaurant in Dublin city in 2009 along with former L'Ecrivain head chef, Stephen Gibson. Nick is former manager of Marco Pierre White's Belvedere restaurant.
The son of an English Mother and French Father, Nick was always destined for a career in hospitality, and especially dining at it's finest. After catering college, Nick began his career in the UK with the Roux Brothers and was a Commis Waiter in Le Gavroche amongst other famous Roux establishments. In 1988, Nick spent a year on military service in France.
In 1991, Nick came to Ireland and joined the K Club in Kildare, a Michelin star restaurant and home to the Ryder Cup in 2006. From there, he began his 10 years working with Marco Pierre White, perhaps Britain's best known Chef and the proud owner of 3 Michelin stars.
In 2002, Nick moved to Dublin to join U2's Clarence Hotel, and Ireland's only 2 Michelin Star restaurant, Restaurant Patrick Guilbaud. Then Nick moved into the world of consultancy, joining Conor Kenny & Associates. Nick is also a distinguished artist with a passion for colour and the abstract form. Nick lives in South Dublin and is married with three boys.
