Lucinda O'Sullivan is one of Ireland's most widely read restaurant and food critics. She is also the longest-standing food critic with any one newspaper having started her weekly column in the Sunday Independent in 1995.
Lucinda started out her career many years ago in the Tourism Industry working in Ireland House in London. She also has a long history and interest in the improvement of standards both in the hospitality industry and restaurant fields. Consequently, Lucinda is frequently a judge in competitions involving young chefs as well as being judge on both the Restaurant Association of Ireland/Sunday Independent Restaurant Awards and the Food & Wine Magazine Awards.
She has been a frequent guest on RTE's, Afternoon Show', 'Ireland AM' on TV3, and on BBC's "Great British Chefs" with Matthew Fort as Judge for the Northern Ireland heat. Her Little Black Book of Great Places to Stay & Eat in Ireland is one of Ireland's best selling Irish Travel Guides. This is Lucinda's first visit to The Restaurant.
