Economics - A guide to the language used by the media to describe changes in the economy such as mortgage rates, budgets and inflation.

Making Plurals gives examples of how to change a word when there is more than one.

A Really Useful Guide to Planning a Trip on the Internet gives tips on researching and booking accommodation and outings online.

The programme also includes a studio interview with students Kevin O'Duffy from Offaly, and Tommy Gibbons from Sligo. Both left school at an early age and returned to adult learning to improve their reading and writing and to learn new skills. Kevin is currently studying for his Leaving Cert in English and has a keen interest in underwater photography. He displays a few of his photos in the studio and describes how he developed his interest. Tommy has completed several computer and personal development courses through the VEC. He also has a keen interest in playing the piano, and he describes the ideas and inspiration behind the painting that he completed especially for the programme.
