Model, Runway & Fashion Consultant
Debra Shaw is one of the best- known top supermodels of the 1990's. She was born in Philadelphia, and raised in New Jersey. Debra won a contest and her prize was a trip to Paris- from there, she signed with an agency and her runway career took off. One of her first shows was Christian Dior haute couture, where she met John Galliano. The two became the best professional friends and Galliano would continue to cast Debra for Dior shows once he became as artistic director at Christian Dior.
The list of top fashion houses for which Debra Shaw walked the runway is a long one. It includes the likes of Paco Rabanne, Alexander McQueen, Givenchy, Betsey Johnson, Dries van Noten, Issey Miyake, Jean Paul Gaultier, Karl Lagerfeld, Lanvin, Philip Treacy, Christian Dior, Gianni Versace, Pierre Balmain, Valentino, Oscar de la Renta, Chanel, Matthew Williamson, Giorgio Armani, Kenzo, Yves Saint Laurent, Missoni and so on.
Debra Shaw worked with some of the world's top photographers including Annie Lebowitz, Peter Lindbergh, Mario Testino, Jean-Baptiste Mondino, Christophe Kutner, Nick Knight, GianPaulo, Patty Shelabarger, etc. Advertising campaigns for top fashion names including Versace, Alexander McQueen, Valentino and Altelier Versace.
Her editorial work includes, spreads for Vogue (Italian, USA), Vogue, Numero, Citzen K, Elle (Dutch editon), Glamour, Dazed and Confused, Marie Claire (French Edition), Grazia (Italian edition), Essence, Amica, Cosmopolitan, Style, Spoon, New York Times, Women's Wear Daily, Visionnaire, Essence Magazine (cover) etc.
She now works as a fashion and runway consultant, using her wealth of knowledge and experience in the industry to advise clients.
Debra working with IMG- "I work alot with IMG girls- new girls that come in- 16 and 17 year old girls. Beautiful girls- going off, and alot of times doing Prada and other shows. I am happy to be a part of that."
Jeni on Debra- "Debra Shaw is someone we work with all the time. Sometimes i want a girl to walk with Debra- because I think she walks well, but she might not think she walks well and that makes the difference."
Jeni on the girls learning from Debra- "They have to learn to walk for the different designers. If you're going to cast for Prada- you're not swinging your hips and have a sexy walk. That's not the way the show is and that's not what casting director is looking for. The more they understand about fashion the more easy it will be for them to cast with a different casting director." Debra on the girls- "I saw star potential in the girls. They have the hunger and desire. You can't just be a pretty face- you have to have a little more than just that."

Monika 'Jac' Jagaciak is a rising model sensation with IMG. She is from a small city in Poland and her height is 5'10". Jac is just 16 years old and was signed by IMG Paris when she was just 13, and they began to develop her and guide her career.
Jac's first modeling job was a prestigious campaign as one of the faces of Hermès, alongside Daria Werbowy, photographed by Peter Lindbergh in 2007. She then traveled to Japan in 2008 to build up her portfolio- where she became an editorial hit. Jac has featured in numerous magazine editorials to date- including Jalouse (two front covers- one shot by Elina Kechicheva), Japanese Harper's Bazaar (front cover), Japanese Spur (front cover), Italian Vogue, Numéro, Vogue Paris, Vogue Japan, American Vogue, W Magazine, Interview, Japanese Elle (front cover), Teen Vogue and V Magazine. She has worked with photographers such as Peter Lindbergh, Steven Meisel, David Sims, Richard Bush and Craig McDean.
Jac has continued to build her success on the runway. In 2009, she opened and closed the Calvin Klein show in New York, making her one of the most talked about newcomers of the season. She has also walked in many runway shows at fashion weeks in New York, Milan and Paris for prestigious designers- including Marc Jacobs, Marni, Prada, Jil Sander, Dolce & Gabbana, Versace, Gucci, MaxMara, Pucci, Alexander Wang, Bottega Veneta and Philosophy di Alberta Ferretti. She landed an exclusive campaign with Calvin Klein collection in Fall/Winter 2009 and she renewed her contract for the Spring/Summer 2010 campaign - an astonishing feat for a new model to front a prestigious campaign for two consecutive seasons.
She has also become the face of Chanel Beauty campaign Fall/Winter 2010, as well as Marc Jacobs Fall/Winter campaign 2010.
Jeni wanted the Irish girls to meet Jac because 'Jac very definitely will be one of the most important models that IMG have ever represented. It's important for our girls from Ireland to see what it is like to be an international model, an international top model, and to have just turned 16'
Jac explained to the girls how she got her big modeling break 'Maida cast me for the Calvin Klein show, everyone in the industry saw me in the show and I opened. It was the biggest pleasure ever'. Jac also left the girls with some good advice 'Stay true to yourself, try to be the best and don't think about all the things around you'
Fashion Casting Director
Maida Boina is one of the most influential casting directors in the world. Her clients include Calvin Klein and Jill Sander.
Jeni Rose says that 'Maida is probably most important casting director in France. She doesn't need to see a finished product. She is somebody that can see very far to what a girl can be and will be'
After Maida met our models she said that 'Everybody is looking for a special personality and looking for the next top model. Power and personality, it's more than welcome, there is a trend. It's just like fashion'.
