About the Show

The Master's Apprentice is a six-part series which each week introduces an established figure running a successful tourism or craft business to an individual seeking to establish their own business in the same sector and sets them both a challenge. The Master must pass on the secrets of their success and the Apprentice must seize the opportunity to learn and put their lessons into instant practice.

Over the course of one week the Apprentice is mentored by their Master and works alongside them in their business. They face a number of practical challenges set out for them by their master and designed to give them an insight into the realities of what it takes run a business and be successful.

The Masters in the series include: Master Potter Nicholas Mosse, Joe O'Flynn of Rathsallagh House and Golf Club, Gerry McCloskey of Connemara Safari who runs walking and Island hopping trips on the Islands of the Connemara Coast, Donie O'Sullivan of Killarney Riding Stables who runs horse trekking holidays in Kerry, Karen Harris of Dunmore East adventure Centre and in Wicklow.

The Apprentices are of all ages and levels of experience but their common bond is the desire to mirror the achievements and success of their Masters in business. They each have great ambitions. But how will they react as they are plunged into the deep end of running their dream businesses? And how will they deal with the generous wisdom of the experts?

The Master's Apprentice is produced by Tyrone Productions in association with Fáilte Ireland and is set against the stunning backdrop of Ireland's most beautiful locations.
