Can you explain where the idea for Swim-a Song came from?

Swim-a-Song is the brain child of Sharlene Brown an ex-Irish international swimmer, who upon having her own children developed the idea from her playtime and bath time with her own children

What exactly is Swim-a-Song?

Swim-a-Song is a specially designed swim programme for babies from six months of age and older. This innovative swimming programme gives both parent and child enormous enjoyment while introducing an important life-skill.

Swim-a-Song provides a unique and innovative way for parent and baby to experience water, while providing parents with the reassurance that their baby is getting the best possible start in life. Swim-a-Song combines music, song and rhythm with educational water based games to help babies safely learn to enjoy water. Swim-a-Song is step one in Swim Ireland's development pathway and provides an excellent foundation for a lifetime of swimming and is proudly supported by the Irish Sports Council.
