Brian Gleeson:-

Brian Gleeson is one of Irish racing's most well-known faces, he has entertained and informed racing fans all over Ireland and the U.K. through his work for RTE, TV3 and the BBC. Radio listeners are familiar with his distinctive tones through his regular racing reports for local and national stations.

However, Brian's business interests stretch further than his public profile. His P.R. company, Brian Gleeson Racing Promotions, is leader in its field in event promotion, sponsorship co-ordination, corporate entertainment and advertising for the horse racing industry. His auctioneering business, Liam Gleeson and Sons, specialises in property broking for clients from all over the country. This site provides an introduction to Brian's work and business.

Brian, what are the tips for the week?

What about Tuesday:-

Evening Herald Champion Novice Hurdle - Dunguib could run here and redeem himself taking on General Miller from the Nicky Henderson stable who won at Aintree last week.
Boylesports.com Champion Chase - Cheltenham Arkle chase winner Sizing Europe in with the big guns, 2008 winner Twist Magic from Paul Nicholls yard back to regain title, Forpadydeplasterer, and Ferdy Murphy Kalahari King who fell early in Aintree.

Wednesday:-

Punchestown Guinness Gold Cup - brilliant race with Denman 'the tank' from Paul Nicholls yard has side stepped the Scottish National to come to Punchestown. The Queens horse Barbershop will run and hopefully deliver a birthday present to HRH. The home defense comes in the form of Joncol trained in Wexford by Paul Nolan, Willie Mullins Cooldine and last years winner Notre Pere.

Thursday:-

Ladbrokes.com - Three Cheltenham winners line up for this massive prize of €170,000. Quevega, Thousand Stars and Paul Gilligans Berties Dream. This could be War of Attritions swansong (if he doesn't run in the Guinness Gold Cup)

Friday:-

Rabobank Champion Hurdle - 2008 Winner Punjabi back in the mis., Ran poorly at Cheltenham and has since had some procedures done on his breathing apparatus. Solwhit who won the race last year is hoping to put a disappointing run in Cheltenham behind him and retain his title. The long await return of Willie Mullins Hurricane Fly will be a highlight of this race. A big ask after being off the track for so long.

Saturday:-

Airshow 100 Champion 4 year old Hurdle - On family day the focus is n the youth and the 4 year olds take centre stage. This race was won last year by Edward O'Grady's Jumbo Rio who runs Alaivan. The first and second home in the Aintree equivalent, Orsippus and Barizan are travelling to take on the Irish campaigners Carlo Brigante and Posyc.
