Our judge today is Colin Stafford Johnson.

We have had over 1,500 entries for our competition 'An Afternoon to Remember'. It was hard but we managed to narrow it down to these talented amateur photographers. Today, tomorrow and Thursday we will be meeting our six finalists.

On Friday it will be you the viewers voting for the winner.
The prize is professional digital SLR Sony camera, plus a trip to the world photography exhibition in Cannes, 5 star hotel and 1,000 euros spending money.

Judge:- Colin Stafford Johnson is an Emmy award winning cinematographer for his work on Mississippi - Tales of the Last River Rat for Discovery Channel. He has also worked with renowned broadcaster and naturalist David Attenborough on the well-received BBC series Planet Earth.

Colin was recently seen in Broken Tails Last Journey and is currently filming a new series of Living the Wildlife.
Both Colin and Kathryn Thomas have judged this photography competition from its beginning on March 22nd 2010.

Finalist No 1: John Walsh: RED Arrows in Galway
Finalist No 2: Darren Murray: Claire and Hannah

Finalist 1: John Walsh: Red Arrows at Volvo Galway Races

John is a keen amateur photographer from Galway. He currently works in the Radisson Hotel in Galway. Last summer he took this picture of the Red Arrows visit to Galway during the Volvo Ocean Race 2009.

The Photo was taken by pure chance while standing on Salthill in Galway

Finalist 2: Darren Murray: Claire and Hannah at Wicklow Gap

Darren is an amateur photographer from Co. Wicklow and he took this picture of his two daughters Claire and Hannah in the Wicklow Gap while they were on Mid Term Break in March 2008.

It was a lovely sunny crisp day and his daughters were so happy to be on their school holidays. On this day Darren forgot to pack Claire's coat so she is seen in the picture wearing Darren's golf rain top.
