As part of her college course, Radio, Television and Print Media at Ballyfermot College in Dublin, she undertook work experience at Woman's Way magazine. This led to her first job once she graduated college.
At Woman's Way Magazine she worked on the picture desk, organising and executing cover shoots, writing the soap section and lifestyle features for the magazine. She spent a lot of time on sourcing fashion and interior items for photo shoots which she also styled.
She was also involved in the organisation of The Mum of the Year Awards. Following on from her time at Woman's Way Magazine, she moved to Irish Tatler where she continued to write lifestyle features as well as fashion stories. The job involved sourcing and styling for fashion shoots.
In 2005 she joined the editorial team at the RTÉ Guide, her role here is very varied, but she mainly look after anything to with soaps for the magazine, be it her weekly column, daily updates for the web and main feature articles or interviews for the magazine. She's also the lifestyle editor and looks after all the food, interiors, health and any other lifestyle features. And she regularly writes TV/entertainment feature pieces.
Since joining the RTÉ Guide she has had the opportunity to visit the set of and interview the stars from many of the big American programmes including Desperate Housewives, Greys Anatomy, Private Practice, Ugly Betty etc as well as Coronation Street, Eastenders and our very own Fair City. She's also interviewed a number of people from the world of film, music and TV including George Clooney, Katherine Heigl, Dido and Jamie Foxx.
Another side to her job includes contributing to various radio and TV programmes. She appeared on The Afternoon Show several times, filling in for the soap reporter. She has also been a guest in The Ruth Scott Show, Derek Mooney Show, Dave Fanning Show and The Ryan Tubridy Show.

This Week: Eileen warns Zumo off telling Decco and Denzo about their Mother and Charlotte. Wayne begins to suspect that Justine is manipulating Dolores. Bob irks Louie by suggesting Carol is a better boss. Avi and Charlie have a tete a tete after Charlie accuses him of bringing mice into the charity shop. Eileen refuse to believe that charlotte is Paddy's daughter. Cass offers to help Charlie out at the helping hand. In spite of Dolores hints Justine refuses to give up on her marriage. Louie regrets hiring Carol after she changes all the system and tries to organise a pub quiz without her consent.
Justine and Wayne kiss. Wayne tells Justine he regrets the kiss and they are not going to get back together. Vivienne plans to introduce Charlotte to her brothers, convinced that when they meet her they will melt. Charlie is frustrated that more people go to Avi to get their computer repaired rather than buy something in The Helping Hand. Louie refuses to let Carol do the table quiz and Carol is annoyed that Christy takes Louies side.Wayne accuses Dolores of being bought by Justine.
Denzo and Decco return to Carrigstown and they inform Zumo of a cigarette smuggling deal they are doing with gangsters up the north. Avi complains to Cass about Charlie's bossiness. Bob realises that Sean is striking a better deal than him. Zumo is pressured into helping Decco and Denzo with their cigarette deal. Wayne admits to Justine that he stole the €50,000 to pay off his second wife. Justine slaps Wayne.
Eastenders Monday 7:30pm, RTÉ One
This Week: Christian flirtatiously tells Syed that Amira has told him that they are having a few problems. Angry Syed tells Christian that he is happily married and will never be with him again. Christian meets Amira who quickly asks if he has thought of any ideas that she could do to please Syed. Christian, still upset after being rejected by Syed, tells Amira that he has got an idea. As Christian hoped his idea turns out to be a disaster and Amira and Syed end up arguing. Later Amira opens up to Christian about the relationship and asks him for some help.
Christian tells Amira to drop all of the fancy outfits and accessories and meet Syed on his level. Syed arrives back unexpectedly and Amira makes Christian hide in the bedroom. It appears that all of Christian's advice has worked as Syed appears to be interested and impressed. Hearing this Christian runs out of the flat and drops the keys on his way. Lucy sees and picks up his keys. After Amira and Syed leave the flat, Lucy goes over and paints a message for Amira on their living room wall that reads 'Syed loves Christian'. C/H
Leon sees FatBoy and Zsa Zsa talking and gets jealous. He asks Zsa Zsa whether Fatboy is the one sending her gifts and she laughs it off.
Leon asks her to prove it by setting Fat Boy up on a date. Zsa Zsa is confident that she can find Fat Boy not just one date but three and goes on search of them. Leon discovers it isn't Fat Boy who has been sending Zsa Zsa the gifts and starts to suspect Danny when he sees her chatting to him at the bar. Zsa Zsa manages to convince Libby to go on a date with Fat Boy by telling her that he needs advice on applying to Oxford and Whitney agrees when Zsa Zsa tells her that Fat Boy needs dating advice, but who will be date number 3?
Phil is suspicious when Ben tells him that the holiday club is cancelled and insists on looking after Louise. Ben tries to avoid his bullies all day. Louise convinces Ben to dress up as Lady Gaga and do a dance with her for Shirley. Phil walks in while they are performing and is livid to see his son dressed as a girl. Phil decides that Ben should give football another go and Ben reluctantly agrees.
Jack is refusing to speak to Dot or Max so Dot goes round to convince Ronnie to go and visit him as she thinks he will want to see her. After spotting Chelsea talking to people about her relationship with Jack, Ronnie tells Dot that they are over for good. Max is still distraught over Jacks condition and Ronnie goes to the club to help. Ronnie eventually decides to visit Jack but is upset when she arrives and sees Chelsea sitting with him.
The battle between Pat and Peggy for councillor starts to turn ugly as the two start taking swipes at each other and Roxy has to intervene.
Coronation Street Monday 7:30pm, TV3

John takes a risk with Colin's identity. Fiz is frosty with John after his suggestion to steal Colin's identity, claiming she'll not help him commit a crime which could land him back in prison. But when John finds an advert for the perfect job he arranges an interview. Back at home Fiz can see he's up to something and demands he tells her what's going on.
Sophie's left high and dry by Sian. Sophie's a whirlwind of emotions after her kiss with Sian and needing to talk she calls her. Eventually Sian answers and arranges to meet at her dad's later. But when Sophie then hears Sian's gone back to her mum's early she's confused. Emotional she grabs enough cash, sneaks past Kevin and heads off for Southport.
Steve and Becky get a shock. As they nervously attend the Introduction to Adoption meeting they're stunned when the Windasses walk in. Elsewhere Molly's still urging Tyrone to keep their baby news quiet but she's thrown when Kevin claims he's fine with all the baby talk.
. John's decision threatens the Stapes' marriage. Fiz is horrified as John tells her he's applied for a job using Colin's name and asks if their marriage means so little to him. But as the day goes on and Fiz talks to Ken and Deirdre about ambition her opinion is swayed. Realising how much teaching means to John she agrees to go along with his plan. But as an ecstatic John discusses the practicalities of using Coin's ID, Fiz wonders if she's making a big mistake.
. Sophie's Southport sojourn ends in tears. Sian's angry to see Sophie on her doorstep, but as Sophie begs her to talk Sian lets her in. Inside Sophie wants to know why Sian ran off, but Sian's cold saying the kiss meant nothing. Sophie admits she loves Sian but Sian slaps her insisting she's not a lesbian and she hates Sophie for doing this. Sophie returns to the street heartbroken.
. The McDonalds and Windasses look to adopt. As the adoption meeting begins Anna tells Becky she's looking to fill her empty nest and makes a dig about Becky and Steve living in a pub.

This Week: Sam's heartbroken when he sees Olena kissing Eli
Sam (James Hooton) looks forward to Lisa's (Jane Cox) homecoming party and excitedly awaits Olena's (Carolin Stoltz) arrival. Meanwhile, Olena confides to Eli (Joseph Gilgun) about Zak's warning. He insists he won't go to the party either and instead they plan their getaway together. At the party, Lisa encourages Sam to go look for Olena when she doesn't arrive. However, he is shocked to find Eli and Olena kissing and unable to believe his eyes leaves without a word. What will Sam do now? Will he confront Olena?
Villagers start to gossip about Charity's sudden windfall
Charity (Emma Atkins) heeds Cain's (Jeff Hordley) warnings and continues to flash the cash. However, when Chas (Lucy Pargeter) and Viv (Deena Payne) inquisitively comment on Charity's spending Cain puts his foot down. Wary, he puts their next car scam on hold until things calm down a bit. Though it's clear Charity isn't impressed.
Aaron's heartened by Paddy's silent support. Aaron (Danny Miller) is elated after his night out with Jackson (Marc Silcock). Relieved to see him happy, Paddy makes sure Aaron knows he is there for him.
John (James Thornton) and Moira (Natalie Robb) are encouraged that they might be able to buy Butlers when John has a meeting with the bank, howeve he's confused when his offer is shot down by Natasha (Amanda Donohoe).
Ryan (James Sutton) and Andy (Kelvin Fletcher) move into Dale View. When Eve approaches, clearing interested in Ryan, Andy quickly warns him off. Lisa (Jane Cox) is warmly welcomed home and Jai (Chirstopher Bisson) kindly offers her job back at the factory
