Liam Mc Kenna
Liam McKenna began his career at 9 years old when he won the Irish version of Popstars, and became a member of the band Six. After 2 years with the band he moved to Los Angeles and starred in a pilot tv series, and had a small role in the Tom Cruise movie 'Collateral'. In 2005 he moved back to Ireland and began presenting on the daily entertainment show TTV. In 2006 he became the presenter of 2 shows on the Sky Digital channel Bubble Hits. Also since 2006 he has assisted Louis Walsh with his acts on The X Factor.
Brothers and Sisters (New Series),Thursday 11.15 pm RTE ONE
Series 4 kicks off with an explosive episode tonight when Nora and Holly begrudgingly join together to celebrate Justin and Rebeccas engagement, while Kitty has a secret that will rock the Walker family. I love this series because it has some of the best storylines of any drama currently on tv. It may be overlooked quite often by some of the big awards, but that's no reason to ignore it. The current series should be especially interesting as both Rob Lowe (who I met at the Oscars last week) and Calista Flockhart have announced that they are leaving at the end of this series.
Come Dine with Me Sunday 8:00pm C4
Come Dine With Me is one of my all time favourite shows. Its very easy Sunday night viewing. They've recently changed the voice over guy, much to my disappointment, as the old guy used to be hilarious with his sarcastic put downs of the contestants. Still, it's a great show and I never miss an episode of it.
This new episode comes from Dudley, and sees Amanda, a wannabe WAG, take on podium-dancing plumber Sophie, grow-your-own fan Ian, and super-critical Khakan. Sparks fly when Khakan lays into Amanda and then insults Ian. But when it's Khakan's turn to host, his psychic reading gets short shrift from Ian, while Amanda reveals some surprising skills in order to put Khakan in his place. And the week climaxes with a spot of good old fashioned burlesque entertainment.
The Restaurant (New Series) Sunday 8.30pm RTE ONE
The Restaurant is back for a brand new series. Once again it's a cooking show that appeals to my strange love of all things culinary, even though ive never cooked a meal in my life, I just like to watch other people do it and think, oh yeah I could do that.
The new series sees 9 pairs of amateur cooks compete for the chance to go into business with chef and restaurateur Raymond Blanc.
Cougar Town (Second in the series), Monday 9:00pm RTE TWO
I've been raving about this show ever since I saw the first episode when I was in America last year, and I'm so glad that RTE have picked it up. The series focuses on a recently divorced woman (played by Courtney Cox) who reenters the dating scene filled with younger men, whilst living with her 17 year old son, and begins a journey of self-discovery surrounded by her fellow divorcees. Tonight's first episode sees Jules being pressured by her friends to "get back out there" so she enlists Laurie her much younger co-worker to go out and have fun and reintroduce her to the dating scene she missed for the last 20 years.
