Suzanne Byrne - Soaps Writer or Columnist or Lifestyle Editor, RTE Guide

As part of her college course, Radio, Television and Print Media at Ballyfermot College in Dublin, she undertook work experience at Woman's Way magazine. This led to her first job once she graduated college. At Woman's Way Magazine she worked on the picture desk, organising and executing cover shoots, writing the soap section and lifestyle features for the magazine. She spent a lot of time on sourcing fashion and interior items for photo shoots which she also styled. She was also involved in the organisation of The Mum of the Year Awards. Following on from her time at Woman's Way Magazine, she moved to Irish Tatler where she continued to write lifestyle features as well as fashion stories. Her job there also involved sourcing and styling for fashion shoots.

In 2005 she joined the editorial team at the RTÉ Guide, her role here is very varied, but she mainly look after anything to with soaps for the magazine, be it her weekly column, daily updates for the web and main feature articles or interviews for the magazine. She's also the lifestyle editor and looks after all the food, interiors, health and any other lifestyle features. And she regularly writes TV/entertainment feature pieces.
Since joining the RTÉ Guide she has had the opportunity to visit the set of and interview the stars from many of the big American programmes including Desperate Housewives, Greys Anatomy, Private Practice, Ugly Betty etc as well as Coronation Street, Eastenders and our very own Fair City. She's also interviewed a number of people from the world of film, music and TV including George Clooney, Katherine Heigl, Dido and Jamie Foxx.

Another side to her job includes contributing to various radio and TV programmes. She appeared on The Afternoon Show several times, filling in for the soap reporter. She has also been a guest on the Ruth Scott, Derek Mooney, Dave Fanning and Ryan Tubridy Shows.

Fair City Tuesday 8pm RTE One

THIS WEEK: Tracey approaches Dean about his strange behaviour but he hides his worry about Kylie from her.

Connie tells Yvonne about a proposed article in The Irish Independent covering the tapas bar. Yvonne frets about her appearance. She tries to delay the article until after the baby is born! Yvonne insults Deegan and Jennifer when they comment on her being pregnant, believing that they are insinuating she is fat.

Ray is upset when he is criticised by Deegan about his appearance in his own house.

Rachel does not turn up for school and an angry Bela critises Paul and Niamh for arguing in front of her. Niamh and Paul blame each other for her disappearance. Bela goes looking for Rachel and finds her in the park.
Kylie tells Dean that she will leave him alone if he quits the cookery class. He agrees to give up the classes if she deletes the photo. Dean tells Leo that Kylie has demanded he gives up his cookery classes. Again Leo does not believe him.

Bela tells Paul that he needs to talk to Rachel and gently tell her that Yvonne is giving up the baby for adoption.

Rachel finally agrees to move into a new flat. Rachel feels that every mother figure in her life has left her and nobody loves her. Rachel is distraught when Paul tells her that Yvonne is giving up the baby for adoption and asks Paul to raise the baby himself.

Kylie informs Dermot and class members that Dean has quit his classes, much to Dermot's disgust. Kylie tells Dermot that Dean is trying to avoid her as they slept together when Tracey was away.
Dean is shocked when he is told about Kylies actions and berates her for it. She lies and tells him she deleted the incriminating photo. Dean lies to Tracey about why he quit the classes.

Jennifer offers Connie maternity wear for Yvonne. Later Yvonne tries to get Connie to her to search for a good angle to be photographed in.

Sean urges Niamh to hasten Pauls departure. Later Paul announces her ahs found a place to move into.

Sarah tells Suzanne that she has a movie night with Keith insinuating that something is going to happen between them. She is unhappy when Ray tags. Meanwhile Ray realises that Keith invited him as a buffer between himself and Sarah.

Yvonne tells a horrified Paul that she told the adoption agency that she doesn't know who the father is.

Eastenders Monday 7:30pm RTÉ One

THIS WEEK: Stacey is in a state of shock following Bradley's death. She is still wearing her wedding dress and will not leave her bedroom. Charlie and Jean are worried and try to coax her out. Becca intrudes and tries a less sympathetic approach, urging them to break down Stacey's door. Mo returns from holiday to hear the sad news.

Max is also distraught. Carol is playing the role of big sister and generally being logical, urging him to call Rachel. Max seems to be in a state of shock, only concerned with what shoes Bradley is to be buried in as the preparations for the funeral are underway.

DCI Marsden informs the Mitchells that she will not be taking the investigations any further. Peggy appears to struggle to believe that Bradley is the murderer. Ronnie seems unsurprised. A final exchange between Phil and Marsden leaves Phil unsure that she believes Bradley was the true murderer.

Worried for Stacey's safety, Charlie forces her door open to find her totally composed and ready to face people.

At Dot and Jim's, Bradley's death has made Dotty think about her own mum. Dot admits that she has something to tell her granddaughter. Dotty's mum was never in a car crash as Nick has previously said, but is alive. Dot asks if Dotty would like to see her. An emotional Dotty says yes, and Dot picks up the phone to call her.

The Square reacts to Bradley's death. Amira and Syed place flowers for Bradley, Roxy is scathing about her father's killer. Ian, Jane and Christian stand and look at the many flowers. Janine looks coldly on. Jack is rooted to the spot in front of the flowers..

Ronnie asks Ian if she can let her old flat. Spurred on by the sight of a hung-over Lucy, Ian says yes.

Stacey remains composed and matter of fact, but obviously heartbroken, stating that she just wants to say goodbye to Bradley, spurred on by Becca. They all go to the hospital to the Chapel of Rest.

The Mitchells are back in the Vic. Roxy wants them to get back to normal; Phil offers to buy Shirley a drink and seems genuinely interested in her but she snubs him.

Lucy bunks off school but as Jane urges Ian to trust her until he finds her in a clinch with Leon.

Max goes to see Bradley in the hospital, to take him his shoes. He apologises to him for everything, starting to come to terms with his death. He leaves Bradley's mum Rachel a message asking her to call him.

Christian comforts Syed in the Unit who seems shaken by how upset Amira is after her long-distance call to Syd, telling her of Bradley's death. Zainab walks in to find the pair close physically and confronts them angrily. Syed is embarrassed and apologises for his mother. They row, and in his anger he leaves and slams the door. As she tries to leave, the door handle comes away and she is left in the Unit, stranded with no phone. She types an email on Syed's laptop, which he has forgotten, and sends it, awaiting rescue. Later, when still no response, she feels a pain in her stomach and realises she is going into labour.

Stacey asks Jean, Becca and Charlie to leave, and sits outside the Chapel of Rest with the camera that her wedding pictures are on. She watches her wedding video; glances between that and Bradley, realising he is never coming back. She begins to run away, through the hospital, and into the street; running and sobbing.

Coronation Street Monday 7:30pm TV3

THIS WEEK: David and Gail anxiously wait to hear from Joe whilst Tina tries again to get in touch with her Dad. Both Tina and David puts more pressure on Gail to report Joe to the police all about his moronic plan and tell them everything but she's worried they'll be culpable and wants to sit it out until Joe gets in touch. Eventually the police arrive at No.8 where Gail's nerves turn to aggression as she fears she'll be caught up in Joe's web of lies but she is stunned when the police inform Gail that a body has been discovered in Lake Windermere.

Molly calls round for her post but an unsuspecting Tyrone answers the door in his vest and pants. Molly looks great and Tyrone can't hide his disappointment that he has let her see him like this because he wants her to see him at his best in the hope that she will fall back in love with him.

Norris is up to his usual tricks and stirring up some gossip. He recalls where he met Lewis before and tells Mary and Natasha that Lewis had a wife so Audrey must be his mistress! With such an outlandish claim all three of them decide to ask Audrey for themselves.

Elsewhere Dev and Sunita are relishing in their success at fooling Aunts Upma and Grishma that they're still married, although their celebrations are short lived when Matt shows up on Sunita's doorstep.

And Trevor lets it slip to Carla that Janice and Kelly have a very low opinion of her but Carla has a plan to get them back.

Gary and Quinny's day of leisure is rudely curtailed when Quinny receives an upsetting phone call from overseas about his brother.

Gail is in complete shock and struggles to take in the police's news, refusing to believe that the body they found is Joe's. There is an air of suspicion around the circumstances of his death. David desperately tries to stop her from saying anything incriminating. Whilst Audrey comforts Gail they realise Tina is oblivious to her Dad's demise. David thinks that he's the best person to tell Tina rather than the police; although this will be the hardest thing he's ever had to do. How will she react? The police ask her and Gail to identify Joe's body. Jason and David accompany Gail and Tina up to the Lakes. Gail and Tina enter the mortuary and are overcome with grief at the sight of Joe's body but take small comfort in knowing that his suffering is over and devastated Tina sings the lullaby Joe used to sing her.

Whilst Sunita tries to get rid of Matt, Dev turns up with her aunties forcing them to make up an excuse, but will they believe them? With Grishma and Upma deciding to prolong their stay a little longer, can Sunita and Dev keep up the charade?

Tyrone's mum Jackie makes arrives on the street to look after him now that Molly has left him. But will she be a help or hindrance?

Trevor tells Janice he's found two kittens in a bin and wants to keep them in Janice's flat. Keen to please Janice agrees although she's allergic to cats.

Also, Anna is worried that Gary will meet them same fate as Quinny's brother after hearing of his ordeal.

Emmerdale Monday & all weekdays 7pm TV3

THIS WEEK: Laurel agrees to give her marriage another try Doug (Duncan Preston) and Diane (Elizabeth Estensen) agonise over what to do about Ashley (John Middleton) and Laurel's (Charlotte Bellamy) marriage. When they try to console Ashley he gets the wrong end of the stick and prepares to face the future without Laurel (Charlotte Bellamy). When Laurel arrives at Mulberry without Arthur he fears the worst but is taken aback when she tentatively tells him she's willing to give them another try. Can Ashley and Laurel get over their ordeal and fix their marriage?

Jai's annoyed that Nikhil is involved in Debbie's dodgy deal
Jai (Christopher Bisson) is sure Nikhil's (Rik Makarem) setting himself up for a fall and coolly warns him not to get involved in anything illegal. Later, Charity (Emma Atkins) tries to convince Jai it's all above board. Will Jai hinder Nikhil's business venture?

Lisa is terrified at what the future holds for her family
Chas (Lucy Pargeter) and Gennie (Sian Reese-Williams) have a whip around for Zak (Steve Halliwell) and Lisa's (Jane Cox) house rebuild. Lisa is grateful, however she is sure it's the least of their worries if she gets sent to prison.

. Ryan (James Sutton) confronts Nathan (Lyndon Ogbourne) in the pub toilets but Nathan claims it wasn't fair that he carry on life with Katie (Sammy Winward) while Maisie (Alice Coulthard) suffers in a clinic
. Leyla (Rokhsaneh Ghawam-Shahidi) is relieved when David (Matthew Wolfenden) offers for her to stay with him until Shadrach (Andy Devine) moves out
. Rodney (Patrick Mower) admits to feeling lonely without a partner
. Nikhil and Jai are furious with Priya (Effie Woods) when they have to stop production because she loses a false nail.
