Why did you decide to enter x factor? Was Zachary the main reason you entered?
I done it a couple of times before and you always think you have to do something to put yourself forward and that was the thing. He was one of the main reasons. Anything you do in life when you have a kid is important but I didn't think I am just going for this just because I have a kid.

Was it really hard being away from your son?
It was but at the same time I had one of the most important experiences of my life. At the same time you don't want to compromise your position, you can't regret it and you have to enjoy everything.

What was your favourite song that you performed on X Factor?
I like my first song - The Scientist.

Who would you love to do a duet with?
I loved doing the one with Michael Buble. Maybe Coldplay or Oasis. I love Barbra Streisand - she is the ultimate - I can't even imagine meeting her let alone sing with her.

Has your life changed so much - can you still go down to the shops to buy milk?
Yeah, as long as I give the people some pictures.
You had to live in the X-factor house - who was your best mate?
Olly and Jedward the most. I miss them the most?

What did you think of our Jedward?
They are two of the nicest people you could ever meet. I am still in touch with them and I text them and I spoke to them at Christmas and New Year. I see Olly quite a lot and Joe texts me too.

What was it like performing with Michael Buble?
He made me feel so comfortable - it was unbelievable.

You have met so many celebrities - lady Gaga, Sir Paul McCartney, Whitney? Who was your favourite - did they give you any advice? Were you starstruck?
I didn't have a favourite. Whitney told me to practice, practice, practice. They all said be yourself and remember where you come from. I was always starstruck even every week when I had to speak to Dermot - I kept saying 'That's Dermot O'Leary'.

What was it like having Dannii Minogue go to your house in Dagenham?
That was the weirdest thing. I just kept thinking did my mom hoover!

What was she like as your mentor?
She was so lovely. She kept buying us little presents to motivate us. She was so supportive.

Are you still in touch with Danni - have you given her any pregnancy advice?
We are in touch but I haven't given her any pregnancy advice. I didn't want to give her nightmares.

Are you excited to go on the X-Factor tour?
Can't wait - I can't wait to see everyone.

What have you been up to since the X-Factor?
Loads of gigs, openings, random stuff and I get to go to premieres. It is so much fun and I'm enjoying everything.

What do you hope to achieve after the X-Factor tour?
I hope to get a record deal - could you imagine going back on The X-Factor to perform as a guest. That would be crazy.
