Father Helps Son Deliver Wife's Baby over the Phone!
Wednesday, 20 January 2010
On Saturday the 9th January, amid the show and ice, Eric Brennan and his wife Sabien were alone in their home in Knocknacarra, Co Galway. Sabien was heavily pregnant.
The day earlier, Sabien was having contractions, but the couple decided to wait another day before travelling three miles to the University Hospital in Galway.
However, Sabien woke up early on Saturday morning in pain, knowing that the baby was on the way, but the couple were not able to make it to the hospital and Eric had to deliver their new baby girl in their family home. Eric's dad (Gerry) is a GP who lives in Co. Galway, and he helped Eric deliver the baby over the phone.
