Modern Family Tonight 8.00pm Sky One
I hit across this show one night when there was nothing else to watch, and I've been hooked on it ever since. I've raved about it to all my friends and finally people are taking notice of it. It is without a doubt the funniest new comedy in years. It's the story of a very chaotic extended family who lives all cross over and the stories link up each week. Its one of the few shows that actually makes me laugh out loud every time. They may seem like an unconventional family, but in reality they are a 'modern family'. There is a gay couple, who have adopted a baby from Cambodia and like to dress her up as modern day icons such as Cher and Whitney Houston. The rich grandfather who married a stunning South American woman that everyone assumes is a gold digger. And finally the husband and wife who's kids range from the exceptionally gifted with intelligence, to well... down right thick. I love love love this show. Trust me it is worth watching!
Kidnapped by the kids, Tonight 9.00pm C4
This show looks fascinating because these days we all work so much and alot of parents tend to forget that their kids need attention now and then. This father works all the time to provide for his family, but in doing that he ends up distancing himself from them. In tonights show he is taken away from work for 10 days by his kids in the hope that he will learn to spend more time away from work, and give them more of his time rather than always trying to provide material things for them.
Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl, Saturday 6.30pm RTE1
I'm a huge fan of the Pirates of Caribbean movies, mostly because Johnnny Depp is simply amazing as Captain Jack Sparrow. This is the first of what became 3 movies, and there is a rumored 4th movie on the way. The story follows Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp) and Will Turner (Orlando Bloom) as they try to rescue Elizabeth (Keira Knightley) from the crew of the cursed Black Pearl ship. It's a great comedy with some amazing special effects.
X Factor Saturday, 7.30pm and Sunday 7.30pm UTV
Jedward are back at the final this weekend. They may perform one last time, as Simon is very keen for it, and Louis is now managing them. They will definitely be performing alongside the winner.
The winners single is a cover of Miley Cyrus hit The Climb, and they've all recorded a version of it, personally I think Joe's version is by far the best.
The celebs confirmed to perform duets with the finalists are, George Michael with Joe McElderry, Robbie Williams with Olly Murs, Michael Buble with Stacey Solomon... and on Sundays results show Paul McCartney will perform on his own.
