Eoghan Quigg - Teen Sensation

The X-Factor is currently the no 1 TV show to watch. Last Sunday's episode was watched by nearly 15m people - making it the most watched episode of the history of the show.

Eoghan Quigg was born 12 July 1992. He is from Dungiven in Northern Ireland and lives the with his two brothers and one younger sister who was born during filming of The X-Factor.

Eoghan finished third in the fifth series of The X Factor in 2008. Last Christmas when he returned to Dungiven on an open top bus- thousands of fans came out to greet him.
Eoghan's hairstyle became famous when many admirers asked their hairdressers for a 'Quiggie' - even though Louis Walsh described his hair as a 'birds nest'.

As a result of his X Factor success Eoghan signed a recording deal with RCA. Eoghan appeared at the Cheerios Childline Concert at the The O2 in Dublin in December.

The X-Factor tour consisted of Eoghan, Diana Vickers, Ruth Lorenzo, Laura White, JLS, Alexandra Burke, Daniel Evans and Rachel Hylton, embarked on the X Factor Live tour which began on 22 February and concluded on 25 March 2009 at Wembley Arena.
Eoghan released his first album titled Eoghan Quigg in April 2009. It reached no1 in the Irish Charts and no 14 in the UK.
