Fashion - Kit out trendy kids for under a tenner!
Tuesday, 12 May 2009
With summer hols fast approaching, the kids will need to be kitted out in trendy gear for the warmer weather. But with everyone strapped for cash, we're now looking to more affordable options for the little ones.
The weather is getting warmer and the kids need new shorts etc for the summer months. As the recession bites however, there is little to be spent on new clothes and we must look to the more affordable options. Thankfully there is plenty out there.

Without the luxury of hand-me-downs, times will forever by tight for Veronica and Kevin Cassidy. Veronica gave birth to her quints after IVF treatment in 2001. Now aged 8, the quints are quite the handful, as they grow out of clothes like nobody's business.
With this in mind, Veronica is open to any tips on how summer clothes for her kids can cost less!
From Tesco to Penneys, Heatons to Aldi, Dunnes to Lidl, there are a wealth of options out there for inexpensive children's clothes.
Dresses for the girly girls from €5 and trendy board shorts for the boys for as little as €4, there are so many combinations of outfits out there, the kids could be well kitted out for the summer on €50.
As children grow out of their clothes so quickly, you don't need to spend large amounts of money on clothes that will most likely only last them the one season anyway.
Today we look at the Cassidy family- three boys and two girls, without the option of hand-me-downs as they're all the same age. Yes.they're quintuplets! Each of them has their own personality so Annmarie has carefully chosen outfits to suit each of them- and all outfits come in at under €10.
