. Celebrity Bainisteoir fever has hit our screens and the country once more. It's an eight part series.

. Celebrity Bainisteoir is on RTE 1 each Sunday at 6.30pm.

Broadcaster Derek Davis
Veteran RTE broadcaster. (One time co-presenter of Live at Three, an afternoon, magazine show on RTE).

. Derek has had a long and varied career as a broadcaster.

. Beginning as a news reporter with the American network ABC and BBC Northern Ireland before heading to the RTE newsroom for 11 years.

. Derek has also presented the Rose of Tralee on two occasions - the first when Gay Byrne was taken ill at short notice.

. He is probably best known for co-presenting Live at Three on RTÉ One for 11 years. He had an interactive summer show called Davis and a panel show Play the Game. He has co-presented shows for BBC Northern Ireland.

. He also presented a marine programme devoted to boats and the waters around Ireland, called Out of the Blue.

. He has also appeared on Time on Their Hands, a travel series for middle-aged people.

. On radio Davis presented a show called A Question of Food and appears frequently on RTÉ Radio 1.
