Spring Summer Style - "Colour Blocking with Liam Power"
Tuesday, 17 February 2009
Oranges, reds, purples, greens & blues- every hue of bold colour can be used to create one of this season's most daring looks- today we look at Colour Blocking with stylist Liam Power.
Bid Farwell to Winter and say hi to Spring as we get a sneak peak at what's hot for S/S '09. Fresh from the catwalks of Milan, Paris, London & New York we brush off the gloom of Winter and look forward to Spring with a bright, fresh outlook on style. Loud & proud, clashing combinations of colour makes for a bold, self-assured look.
"This season's explosive new shades pack a powerful punch. Tangerine, citrineand dynamic neons make for a tangy combination, as bold colour- block dresses light up the night."

Tips for working this trend into your wardrobe:-
. Team colours from the same family together for a harmonious look - think bright pinks with vivid fuchsias, turquoise with royal blue
. Keep warmer tones like orange and red together
. Go for a neutral-toned shoe to keep it simple
Mix it up
. Work regal purples in with contrasting, fiery oranges
. Try lime green with melon or rosebud pink for a pleasantly jarring combination
. Go to town on the look with a loud, contrasting shoe or handbag
