Step One - Eyes
1. Apply lighter base colour to the eyelide
2. Add in the medium colour to the crease of the eye
3. Apply the darkest colour onto the lid & blend
4. Use black eyeliner on the inside of the eye to make it stand out

Electric Eyes

1. The smaller the area you're working on , the smaller the brush should be
2. Pale blue eye shadow can be very scary. If used incorrectly, it can look cheap and nasty. I believe most frosty eye shadow needs depth and intesity to look b eautiful, so use a little black or a darker version of colour you choose.
3. You can also use black eye shadow along the lash line to make the colour more intense

Lips
When eyes are dramatic make sure to be careful to choose a nude/understated lip colour.
1. To keep lipstick within contours a)choose similar colour lipliner or (as in Paula's case today) b) base the lips with foundation and powder.
2. Apply lipstick with lip brush

3. Apply the darkest colour onto the lid & blend
4. In this case we are applying a brown colour to the eye for warmth, as this look will have dramatic lips.
5. Use black eyeliner on the inside of the eye to make it stand out

Tips for Lips
1. If you want to make lipstick last longer, use lip gloss more in winter ( because of the drying effects of the weather) and stick and stains in summer
2. In most cases, when we do our makeup we save our lips till last. So a good tip is to load up your lips with lanolin or your favourite lip balm and then leave them while you do the rest of your makeup. This softens them, and by the time you've done the rest of your makeup, they'll be moist and luscious
3. Test lipsticks on you fingerstip to get the true colour before ou buy them. It's amuch closer to your lip colour and the skin texture is very similar.
4. To create a fuller lip, first apply a highlight colour to the cupid's bow then apply your lipstick. This is quite simply the best trick in the book!
5. Powder lightly around your mouth first ( not on the lips) if you have a tendency for lip bleed
6. You cannot get a straight line around your mouth once the tube of your lipstick has lost its sharpness. You must use a brush

Don'ts!
Lips

1. Never use lip liner that's a completely different colour to your lipstick
2. If your lips are naturally lined or wrinkled don't overuse lip gloss
3. Never use too much lip gloss
4. Don't apply foundation on your lips or under lipstick

This is not a time for downbeat make-up," said Max Factor's Global Creative Director - and pioneering make-up artist - Pat McGrath, and boy, does the fashion world seem to agree. And while colour-blocking and potent tribal prints appeared to be the catwalk's answer to the current downturn in the global mood, make-up followed suit with bold shades, futuristic rainbow flashes and graphic patterns adorning models' faces. Hussein Chalayan's space-age cobalt sunglasses matched models' fuchsia lips, while the Gucci girls worked a tropical, electric blue, strategically positioned around the eye for maximum drama. The future's looking bright.

Splashes of vivid colour made quite an impact on the spring/summer catwalks. It seems anything goes, with petrol blues, acid greens, lemon yellow and the brightest shiniest pinks and reds making an appearance. A base of flawless, luminous skin made the perfect canvas for a spot of strategically placed colour. But this look, fun as it is, needs to be created with a steady, reserved hand. Great foundation is essential and if you're going for a shot of cerise, turquoise or lemon make sure to tone down other features. Opt for a downplayed eye or nude lips. http://www.ivenus.com/274/#/1941
