High School Musical III
Directors: Kenny Ortega
Starring: Zac Efron, Vanessa Anne Hudgens
Running Time: 111' 34"
Rating: ***
Classification: G
Courtesy: Walt Disney

Plot: As seniors in high school ,Troy and Gabriella struggle with the idea of being separated from one another as college approaches. Along with the rest of the Wildcats, they stage a spring musical to address their experiences, hopes and fears about their future.

Verdict: This final outing for Troy, Gabriella and co. is about as critic-proof as any film can get (just try stopping your eight- and nine-year-olds from flocking to it!), but in fairness, it's filled with lively musical numbers and our wholesome, winsome stars give it their all.

Ghost Town
Director: David Koepp
Starring: Ricky Gervais; Tea Leoni; Greg Kinnear
Running Time: 112'00"
Rating: ***
Classification: 12A
Courtesy: Paramount Pictures

Plot: Bertram Pincus,(Ricky Gervais) is a man whose people skills leave much to be desired. When Pincus dies unexpectedly, but is miraculously revived after seven minutes, he wakes up to discover that he now has the annoying ability to see ghosts.

Verdict: Ricky Gervais scores a hit with his first leading role as the irascible dentist pestered by restless spirits. Tea Leoni and Greg Kinnear co-star in this charming romantic comedy, co-written by Gervais.

Director: Sharon Maguire
Starring: Michelle Williams and Ewan McGregor
Running Time: 100' 00"
Rating: ***
Classification: 16
Courtesy: Optimum Releasing

Plot: An adulterous woman's life is torn apart when her husband and infant son are killed in a suicide bombing at a soccer match.

Verdict: Michelle Williams delivers a strong performance in this otherwise ho-hum thriller about a working class London woman whose husband and son are killed in a terrorist attack at the same time as she is having an illicit tryst with Ewan McGregor. It's a topical story but the script is all over the place

Movie Man Michael!
