Shopping with Conscience

Friday, 26 September 2008

As part of breast cancer awareness month coming in October, many brands and labels are launching special "pink" products to help raise vital funds and awareness for this truly deserving cause. Today we feature some of the products out there this year.

Today is Pink Ribbon Day!
Pink products are all over the shops at present, with a percentage of sales going to charities that help with the research, prevention and cure of breast cancer. Funds raised throughout Breast Cancer Awareness Month will help ABC (Action Breast Cancer) continue to provide free, confidential, expert information on any aspect of breast cancer including prevention, early detection, diagnosis, treatment and follow-on care to over 25,000 people annually. It will also help ABC advocate for the development of breast cancer services and specialist breast units, and fund breast cancer research.
