When Tiernan Dolan lost his mother and father in 2 successive years, he asked friends to forego the flowers and send a small donation to GOAL instead.

He had hoped to raise a couple of hundred euro to help build a house for a homeless African family. But he was staggered when the money kept pouring in..

So far, the appeal has raised €62,000 - enough to build houses for 18 families.
