Property - Help Sell My House
Tuesday, 29 January 2008
Liz is here with a case study from our hugely popular item Help Sell My House. Liz will also deal with other viewers queries on the phone.
Liz's Top Tips
Exterior: Paint the house a neutral colour to give it kerb appeal and make it more inviting to the viewer
Hallway: There's too much wood which makes the house look like it's stuck in the 80's. It needs to be brought into the 21st Century by painting the skirting, banisters etc
Plus brighten up the hall with a neutral colour
Kitchen: Layout a white table cloth and coloured cushions for viewings. Replace the tudor style handles on the doors. Put the double doors back up
Garden: Remove the unsightly blue plastic. The garden areas looks unfinished - spray the walls the same colour as the house. Toys must be stored away as they are a big offender
Bathroom: The door needs to be flipped around as it's too tight to the sink and this will open up the room
