Our Man Friday is a roaring success and definitely has the X-factor!
The fabulous Louis Walsh, manager to Westlife, Shayne Ward and again Boyzone and pop music giant is our final Man Friday of 2007! WOW!
About Louis Walsh
Louis Walsh was born in 1952 in Mayo. He ran backwards around Ireland with many bands in the back of a van gigging relentlessly over the years.
Louis has masterminded the careers of some of the most successful acts in pop history; Westlife, Shayne Ward, Samantha Mumba and Boyzone (again), G4 and had some dealings with Girls Aloud.
Since last on the show (September 2005) Louis has been busy with X Factor in 2006 and 2007. A run with X Factor takes over 19 weeks from first auditions to the end.
2001 Louis was a judge on 'Popstars,' making him a household name in Ireland, then moving on to being a judge on 'You're a Star,' ITV's 'Popstars The Rivals' and now TV3's / ITV 'X-Factor,' the Saturday night music talent search show which is split into three categories: group, solo, 16-25 and solo, 25 and over.
2006 The judges are Simon Cowell, Sharon Osborne and our very own Louis. The winner s 2006 was Leone Lewis - she was under the guide of Simon Cowell.
2007 Dannie Minogue joined the trio again to ad her stake for a winner and proved all the other judges wrong with Leon Jackson (Scotland) and Rhydian Roberts (Wales) both getting into the final. Danny was responsible for the solo artists - 16 - 25years. Leon was the overall winner with Rhydian second and Andy Williams (booted off in earlier heats).
. Louis had the over 25's talent who did very well but none made it to the final - Beverley, Niki and the handsome Daniel.
. Simon had the groups section with weird and panto style duo Same Difference, girl band Hope and also Futureproof.
. Sharon had the girls section - 14 - 24 years old - with Alisha and Kimberly. She lost one female act as she was caught bullying
. Leon Jackson will be signed to Syco Record Label which is owned by Simon Cowell.
. 'When you believe' is the name of Leon's new single. Aiming for Xmas number 1!!
