Our Man Friday today is the lord of laughter and the prince of the panel!

Man Friday today is Andrew Maxwell - Award Winning Stand Up Irish Comedian and presenter on RTE's successful comedy show - The Panel.

Andrew Maxwell (33years old) is originally from Kilbarrack in Dublin. He has been living in London since 1994.

His comedy style is very much a social commentator and political protagonist on a major mission to free your mind and think laterally.

He has a number of accolades to his name including winner of the Channel 4 King of Comedy Award in 2005. It was televised on E4 for a four week period.
The Competition involved Andrew performing live for four weeks in a Big Brother style house with a bunch of housemates that was made up of other new comics and three veterans of the art, all vying for the prize via a public vote. He won!!!

A prestigious Comedy (formerly Perrier) Award nomination for Best Comedy Show at the Edinburgh Festival

Winner of the Irish Post Comedian of the Year 2007.

With regular appearances on RTE 2's The Panel and at
The 2006 Amnesty Secret Policeman's Ball - (Monty Python crew organise this ball - the top celebs and artists in attendance - it was held in 2006 on Channel 4  - at The Royal Albert Hall)  

Andrew has appeared at The Soho Theatre, Kilkenny Cat Laughs Festival and the Montreal Just for Laughs Festival.  Andrew has won and been nominated for several other awards including a Time Out Live Award in the category of Best Stand-up, Loaded Magazine best stand-up and Chortle Award(website for comedy) for best contribution to the live comedy circuit. 

Andrew also performed at the HBO US Comedy & Arts Festival in Las Vegas (alongside Jerry Seinfeld and Chris Rock)
