"When I found out what my eldest daughter Emma had done, I initially wanted to kill her but then semi calmed down to my present state of nervousness.
It will be a change to use more than two pieces of makeup to put on my camouflage, I am really looking forward to watching a professional doing my make up and seeing what a clothes stylist would chose as clothes to suit me."
"In the not too distant past when out shopping with my last and newest baby, I was approached by a women who stopped to admire the baby and then proceeded to ask what age my grand-daughter was. Needless to say I was just a mite shocked and vowed to dye the greys to oblivion for ever. So it shall be a big treat to have my hair done by the stylist."

THE STORY. . .
Mary's daughter Emma (15) wrote in to The Afternoon Show to put her hard working mum forward for a makeover:
"Hi my name is Emma Wood. I am writing to you to tell you about my mother. We live in Dunboyne in Co. Meath. I am 15 years old.
My mam has 4 kids; Ciara 6 who just started school, Maria 9, me Emma 15, and Gareth 18. My mother really needs a make over she wears the same style clothes that were in 10 years ago I really think she needs it she's a non stop mom that's always very busy helping in my dad's business and at home doing house work and then doing all the homework with my sisters which is very hard.
She deals with a great amount of stress in her life. I really think my mam deserves it. 4 years ago she lost 2.5 stone through weight watchers and is now a size 12 but is wearing size 16 it took tremendous effort for her to loose this and now I think she needs a wardrobe and a make over to go with it. She just turned 47.
I hope you have read this and I hope my mam gets picked because she really deserves it "
Mary's Dad has just been taken in to hospital but is hoping to be out again in time for Christmas, when Mary will entertain 11 of the family in her home. Mary would love to look a million dollars for this occasion as her only sister is coming home from Canada also and it will be a great family reunion.
