Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month

The month of October is Pregnancy and Infant Loss awareness month and we speak to two parents about their experience.
According to the Miscarriage association of Ireland up to 1 in 5 pregnancies end in Miscarriage. This means that there are 50 miscarriages every day and 14,000 miscarriages in Ireland every year.

The Miscarriage Association of Ireland are a voluntary organization who offer support and advice to people who have had miscarriages. Everyone who gives advice and support has had a miscarriage. Their website has the various times you can call their helpline and also gives information on life after miscarriage. There is also a great section which gives advice to men whose partners / wives have had a miscarriage.
There is also a service of remembrance coming up on November 11th. It is taking place at St.Teresa's Church on Dunore Avenue in Dublin. The service begins at 3pm and all are welcome.
