HANDY HAIR EXTENSIONS - PART 2
Noel Sutton is here to demonstrate two different kinds of permanent hair extensions. Hair extensions are a real talking point at the moment as scores of women follow the celebrity trend and invest in some instantly flowing locks!
Model 1
Our model has 100% human hair 20inch long extensions that are sugar bonded to her own hair and will last for 3 - 6 months. The process usually takes 2-3 hours.
Cost between €250 - € 400, available salons nationwide.
Noel says that you can use ordinary hair products on your extensions - a particularly good one for shine is Awapuhi Moisture Mist by Paul Mitchell which Noel has used on our model.
Awapuhi Moisture Mist by Paul Mitchell - €13.95 - available salons nationwide.
Model 2
Our model has human hair wafts that are bonded to the scalp and will last from 2 weeks - 1 month.
Cost between €50 - €250 available salons nationwide.
For these kind of wafts Noel recommends using the Mark Hill Ultimate Gloss Mousse or a cheaper alternative.
Mark Hill Ultimate Gloss Mousse - €14.20 - available chemists nationwide
Trevor Sorbie Fresh and Shine Spray - €6.60 - available chemists nationwide
Good aftercare is required to get the best out of your extensions. He shows us a Denman rubber tipped hairbrush which detangles without pulling out the extensions.
