Kevin McCormack is a young, ambitious landscaper with a degree in Horticulture. 25-year-old Kevin lives in his native Athboy, Co. Meath. He studied horticulture in Warrenstown College, specialising in Garden Design in his second year, and then went on to put his plant knowledge to use while working in a local garden centre. He had been working on the retail side of things for about a year when his employers saw his passion and flair for design and took him onto the garden design and maintenance side of the business, which allowed Kevin to develop his garden design skills.
Kevin describes his style as "contemporary woodland" as he likes to combine low maintenance elements such as hardscaping and clean lines with hidden areas and lots of planting. Despite only being out of college a few years himself, Kevin also teaches a home gardening course at the local VEC, as he is eager to share his knowledge and enthusiasm with others. Kevin is a self-proclaimed perfectionist who admits to returning to clients repeatedly to ensure that the garden is surviving well after he has left.
Kevin has never exhibited a show garden and would love to display a garden at Bloom, as it would demonstrate his skill and talent to a wider audience.
