Gary Graham, Bloom Show Manager said: "We are really excited about Bloom 2013. It is wonderful to see the show evolve and grow each year, building on the success of the core showgarden and food features while incorporating new attractions and areas to keep visitors entertained. For instance, this year we will host the Irish Cheese Awards for the first time. Bord Bia's "Origin Green" programme will bring a strong sustainability aspect to this year's event which will be reflected in a number of features. We are also embracing "The Gathering" as we recognise Bloom to be the perfect platform and are working closely with Failte Ireland to host the "Gathering of Gardeners" from Ireland and overseas".
Bloom 2013 will offer a range of family entertainment options including music on the outdoor stage, children's games and activities in the engaging Kids Zone and a new feature from Active Retirement Ireland which will include fitness and exercise displays, an outdoor bowls green, Bird Box Making and Flower arranging. The showgardens will once again be complemented by a spectacular floral pavilion featuring displays and the best of Irish plants and flowers and the Garden Expert Stage will also host a comprehensive range of leading experts in horticulture, gardening and floristry New and returning sponsors for this year's event include Failte Ireland, Love Irish Food, OPW, Woodies, Bord na Móna, Dublin City Council, Calor Gas, Keelings and the Irish Independent.
