Shauna Kennedy is a confident and extremely talented designer born and raised in county Limerick.

Studies started in 1993 with a Certificate in Art Studies, followed by a 3 year Diploma in Fashion Design at Limerick College of Art and Design.

In 2001 Shauna was awarded a National Diploma in Interior Design through Griffith College, Dublin.

Shauna hopes to study Project Management on a part time basic starting this September. Shauna's Design career started in 1997 with window display for Roches Stores, Limerick then two years later Shauna demonstrated her creative flair designing several jewelry ranges for Celtic and Heraldic while working at RKD architects, Dublin.

Happy with the success of her career Shauna decided to travel and like many talented young people ended up in Australia.

This was a challenging and rewarding period. Shauna interior designed commercial properties and all her skills were put to the test, challenges included, incorporating sporting themes, re-use and upgrade of furniture, selecting finish that would incorporate existing themes and special planning.

Upon returning to Limerick, Shauna founded Morning Star Design Group. Major projects include Grove Island apartments, Aer Rianta design work and an array of on-going projects.


Shauna likes to use wood, concrete, stone and exposed surfaces. She believes in using different texture's to create an interesting interior.

Taking inspiration from the area where the projects are based is a key to Shauna's design ethos, preferring to reflect the locality in her designs than magazine fluff.
