In the first programme of the new series, Gerry gets up close and personal with Westlife, following the band from the West of Ireland to a special awards ceremony in London.
By any standards, Westlife have outlived the usual life span of a boy band. They have been together for eight years - despite having had a few setbacks along the way. They have survived and their current popularity seems undiminished. Later this year, they will be playing a staggering 9 nights at Dublin's Point Depot.
Last month, they entered the record books when they celebrated their fourteenth UK number 1. In terms of sales, their achievement has only been surpassed by Elvis and the Beatles.
Westlife's success has not been confined to singles - they have also had 6 Number 1s in the UK album charts. Their latest album outsold new releases from both U2 and Oasis.
In this edition of Ryan Confidential, Gerry interviews all four members of Westlife - who speak candidly about themselves and their hopes for the future.
