WASHINGTON DC - CAROLYN KIRWIN
Carolyn is 24 and works as a Contracts Analyst with a major information technology company that works in partnership with the US Department of Defence, civilian agencies, and public safety and national security customers, which may explain Carolyn’s career goal to pursue a Master’s in Government to Business relations.
Though she recently acquired her Federal Contracting Certificate she admits that the idea of owning a bakery specialising in top of the range wedding cakes is also very appealing!
A native of Milwaukee Wisconsin Carolyn’s Irish roots are in Camross Co. Laois, Kilrush & Kilkee Co. Clare and County Cork.
Her hobbies are diverse and include baking, cooking savoury foods, skiing, golfing, hiking, spectating at baseball and American football games, studying French cuisine and culture and reading. Carolyn is an accomplished violinist and has been playing since the age of 8. She has won 5 consecutive gold medals at State for violin concertos.
Likes include laughing, learning, travelling and speaking foreign languages. Dislikes are dishonesty, pessimism, bad tempers and seafood (“yuck!”).
Carolyn describes herself as “focusing on positives in life, learning from my mistakes, I always carry a smile on my face and I love a good challenge”. This will be Carolyn’s second visit to Ireland.
