SYDNEY - LAURA-JEAN BRADLEY
Laura-Jean is 19 and a fulltime student, planning to graduate with a degree in Psychology and Japanese. Laura-Jean’s career plan is to work in the area of mental health within the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders communities.
Hobbies for the Sydney Rose include athletics, basketball, netball, soccer and cross country running. Singing, playing the guitar, dancing, watching & making short films are other leisure pursuits and Laura-Jean has taken up surfing in recent months.
Asked to describe herself Laura-Jean replies “Sporty and I love debating, public speaking, acting and music. My brothers, who are younger, would say I am a bossy boots but I think I am light hearted and fun to be around! I love a good joke and going out with friends”. Appearing on RTÉ should not hold any fears for Laura-Jean, she has appeared in an Australian film ‘Danny Deckchair’ and she was an extra on ‘Home and Away’.
Laura-Jean’s Dad Michael is from Ballybofey in County Donegal and this will be Laura-Jean’s first visit to Ireland and she is looking forward to experiencing ‘soft rain’. Mom Julia-Ann hails from Birmingham and a large group of cousins are expected in the Festival Dome with either Donegal or Brum accents!
