NEW YORK - MELISSA TEELIN
Melissa is 20 and a student of fashion merchandising at the Laboratory Institute of Merchandising, which should come in handy as she plans to open a boutique “showcasing exotic designers”.
Melissa currently works as a part time Nanny but her upcoming apprenticeship in buying with Federated Corporation will leave little time for travelling, cooking, going to Yankees games and soaking up the sun at the beach.
Asked what person from the past she would like to have met Melissa unhesitatingly replied “Audrey Hepburn! She was a major fashion icon, elegant, classy and sophisticated.” Melissa lives in Pearl River which she describes as “the town of friendly people; it’s a small comfortable town comprising mostly Irish-American suburban families”. With great honesty Melissa admits that she sings in the car “but I have never performed solo on stage, but who knows what the future might hold?”
Likes for this Rose include “people who live life to the fullest, travelling, dining out and trying new foods, shopping, the beach and spending time with family and friends”. Dislikes are racism, ignorance, materialism, attending the dentist and needles.
Born in Dublin, Melissa emigrated with her family at the age of 2 and she has regularly returned home to Ireland.
