LUXEMBOURG - LEAH FREEMAN
Leah is 24 and works within the financial services sector in Luxembourg.
A native Dubliner, Leah graduated in Media Management from Thames Valley University at Ballyfermot College and at some point hopes to return to the world of media.
Hobbies for the Luxembourg Rose include yoga, walking in summertime, curling up with a good book or DVD in winter and boxersise “which is really tough but it gets me in shape”. Leah admits that her culinary skills need improving and the fact that there is a fast food restaurant close by her apartment led her to boxersise!
Leah likes to socialise and describes the Irish community in Luxembourg as “professionals in that field!” Dislikes are “dishonest or false people, red meat and mushrooms.” Many years of piano studies are reflected in her eclectic taste in music, “everything from Pink Floyd to Frank Sinatra and right now I’m listening to James Blunt”.
A love of travel prompted Leah to spend a lengthy spell as a volunteer working with disadvantaged children in Ecuador and living with a family there, which she describes as “an eye opener to the good fortune I have known and an appreciation of the challenges others face in their daily lives”.
