LIMERICK - MARY SHEAHAN
Mary is 24 and a Nurse at Barrington’s Hospital in Limerick City. A graduate of the IT Tralee School of Nursing, Mary plans to undertake further studies in the field of Theatre Nursing.
Mary expects that Mom Patricia, Dad Thomas and sisters Elaine & Patricia will lead an “enormous crowd” of family, friends and colleagues to support Mary in the Festival Dome! Hobbies include walking, swimming, aerobics, attending GAA and rugby matches, reading and shopping. Of late time has not allowed Mary to maintain her participation in musical theatre but she plans on returning to the boards in the future.
The Limerick Rose likes travelling to different countries and experiencing different cultures, driving her new car and has a serious interest in fashion trends she “maintains my personal style”. Dislikes include journeys by bus and the pressure of exams. Mary’s favourite entertainers are Kylie Minogue, Patrick Kielty, Robbie Williams and Pat Shortt. The celebrity Mary wants to meet is Oprah Winfrey: “though America’s highest paid woman she has never forgotten her roots and uses her fame to help the less fortunate”.
Final word for now: “During my 4 years in Tralee I always watched the Parade on the Saturday night. Participating in the parade as Limerick Rose is just something else!”
