DARWIN - BRIGID KILLEN
Brigid is 19 and working as assistant manager of a small boutique before she heads off to college to read for a degree in marketing and public relations.
The eldest of 4 children, Brigid’s Mom Marryana is Indonesian and Dad, John, is Australian. Brigid’s knowledge of Indonesia was furthered through a 6-month exchange programme to Bali that she participated in. Brigid’s Irish roots are in Portaferry, County Down and she is looking forward to meeting cousins in Tralee.
Likes for the Darwin Rose include scuba diving, bike riding, hiking & camping, reading and spending time with family and friends. Dislikes are insincerity and being late! Brigid is impressed by Angelina Jolie and Nicole Kidman, “both exude a confidence, natural elegance, intelligence and a no-nonsense approach to succeeding”. Asked what celebrity she would like to meet Brigid replied “Billy Connelly. I like people who have the ability to laugh at themselves. There would never be a still moment!”
Brigid loves Darwin, “What I most like about living here is watching the incredible sunsets, the bustle of the markets, the warmth of the people and enjoying a good meal in a good restaurant with my family or my friends. Absolutely wonderful!”
