Affogato al caffe

This favourite Italian dessert is not for those who are planning to go to bed as soon as dinner is finished. If you don't have the right equipment to make a proper espresso, then make some seriously good fresh coffee. A little grated chocolate is good over these, too!

4 scoops of good-quality vanilla ice cream (you could even try using chocolate ice cream, if you prefer)
4 espressos

Put a scoop of ice cream into a little coffee cup, pour over the hot espresso and serve immediately.
