Belfast born Chef Trish Deseine brings us an inspirational and appetite-whetting journey into the way the French cook, eat and live. Along the way she takes us around her favourite markets to meet the locals, look for tips and indulge in some serious shopping. Then it's back to her elegant apartment kitchen, where with no fuss or formality, she rustles up some classic French recipes.
Throughout the show, we will see how exactly one handles French delicacies such as oysters in a champagne sabayon, moules mariniès or coq au vin. We explore the institution at the heart of any French town, the bistro, and meet first hand some of the movers and shakers in the world of French cuisine.
