Up for the Match
After another intriguing Hurling Championship it's down to just two teams. Up for the Match looks forward to the All Ireland Senior Hurling Final between reigning All-Ireland champions Kilkenny and a resurgent Galway looking to claim their first All-Ireland title since 1988. Kilkenny and Galway haven't met in an All-Ireland final since 1993 so this year's Up For The Match promises to be something special.
Presented by Des Cahill and Grainne Seoige, the programme will feature a host of well known faces as well as personalities from the competing counties, including Kilkenny native and Olympic Boxer Darren O'Neill and Galway Hurling All Ireland Winner and former President GAA Joe McDonagh. We'll be getting the views and thoughts on the eve of the big day from former Galway Hurling Legend Ollie Canning, brother of the mighty Joe Canning on the current Galway team and All Ireland winning Kilkenny hurler and All Star Derek Lyng. The show will be packed with lively conversation, craic along with music from Mike Denver, The Mighty Cats and Galway greats The Stunning. Plus one lucky person at home will get a chance to win one of the last pairs of tickets to the final itself.
