Weeknights Comedy on RTÉ Two

2 Broke Girls

RTÉ Two, Thursdays 7.30pm
A lot of young girls move to New York City to "make it." Max and Caroline are just trying to make their rent. In this fun, outrageous comedy series from Emmy® Award winner and executive producer Michael Patrick King (Sex and the City), two girls from very different backgrounds - Max, poor from birth, and Caroline, born wealthy but down on her luck - wind up as waitresses in the same colorful Brooklyn diner and strike up an unlikely friendship that could lead to a successful business venture. All they need to do is come up with $250,000 in start-up expenses.

Starring Kat Dennings (Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist, Thor) and exciting new discovery Beth Behrs, 2 BROKE GIRLS infuses the classic comedy with something new, current and young, proving life can be fun - even if you're broke. Max and Caroline... they put the "class" in working class.

The Big Bang Theory

RTÉ Two, Wednesday, 7.30pm
Created by writer/producers Chuck Lorre (of Two and a Half Men) and Bill Prady (of Gilmore Girls) comes The Big Bang Theory, a sitcom that shows what happens when hyperintelligent roommates/physicists Sheldon and Leonard meet Penny, a beautiful woman moving in next door--and realize they know next to nothing about life outside of the lab. Rounding out the crew are the smarmy Wolowitz, who thinks he's as sexy as he is brainy, and Koothrappali, who suffers from an inability to speak in the presence of a woman. The show distinguishes itself by being unafraid to toss scientific references and technobabble into an otherwise standard sitcom, even employing a physicist to keep things accurate. In doing so, it allows Sheldon and Leonard to do for science what Frasier's Crane brothers did for fine dining, art, and opera.

New Girl

RTÉ Two, Monday, 9.00pm
After a bad break-up, Jess, an offbeat young woman, moves into an apartment loft with three single men. Although they find her behaviour very unusual, the men support her - most of the time. Starring Zooey Deschanel, Max Greenfield and Jake M. Johnson.

Two And A Half Men

RTÉ Two, Monday, 8.30pm
For the 10th season premiere, Walden rushes to plan a surprise birthday party for Zoey. Michael Bolton guest stars as himself.

Emmy® Award winner Jon Cryer stars alongside the multitalented Ashton Kutcher and Angus T. Jones in the Emmy® nominated TWO AND A HALF MEN as the hit comedy series returns for its tenth season. Kutcher stars as Internet billionaire Walden Schmidt looking to start over in love and life. Walden buys the Malibu beach house where tightly wound, divorcé Alan Harper and his underachieving teenage son, Jake, have been living rent-free for almost a decade. The carefree Walden keeps on his live-in houseguests for companionship - as well as domineering housekeeper Berta. Despite Alan's unsuccessful history with women, he finds himself mentoring the aloof Walden in the ways of love. While Walden, Alan and Jake adjust to their new living arrangement, they strangely form a family bond that promises to make each of them a better man.
