Last week on Diarmuid's Pony Kids, discipline got out of hand and although attempts were made to quell the situation, relations are still strained. Unfortunately the Pony Kids spend more time fighting with each other then training and they cannot or will not work as a team. Although they need all the training they can get, Diarmuid decided its time to take some drastic action. He take them trekking in the West of Ireland. None of these pony kids have ever been to the West so it will be a completely new experience for them, a world none of them have seen. While there they meet Willie Leahy, their Wild West guide and quite a character. A surprising and unexpected bond is formed between this West of Ireland man and these urban pony kids. The hope is that this shared experience of something completely new will bring them together and help foster better relations between thepony kids..but will it have the desired effect???
While in Connemara, Diarmuid notices that they boys could do with having a little more respect for their horses. When they get back to Dublin, he decides to take Squeeky, Daryl and Dean on a trip to DSPCA. While there they see an educational video made about neglected horses. Hopefully this trip will make the boys more aware of the need to treat their horses with dignity and respect.
Back in Mullingar, training continues with Jessica, there is a glimmer of hope as they have started to work better as a team but with just a couple of days left till their next competition, Jessica is still concerned about their overall progress. It will be the first time that the pony kids will enter a competition with kids in the same class. Can they pull it off? Will Ronan even allow them all to compete?
And what's going to happen when they reach the RDS? With only three weeks to go, how on earth are they going to pull it off?
