A four-piece alternative rock group from Dublin, Delorentos have managed to cram a lot into the two years since they got together. They represented Ireland at the National Student Music Awards (NSMA) in London last May and were chosen as the Best Student Artist in the UK and Ireland. Their prize included recording time at the BBC's Maida Vale recording studios and a slot on 'CD:UK' when they confirm the UK release date of their debut EP 'Leave It On'.

The EP, on Cottage/Delo Records, was recorded and produced by Marc Carolan (The Thrills, Muse) and released in Ireland in October, whereupon the band took off on another Irish tour. 'Leave It On' contains the title song plus 'Any Other Way', 'Solitude' and 'If She Never Comes Around Again'. The tracks were jointly and individually written by Ronán (guitar, vocals) and Kieran (guitar, vocals) in conjunction with Níal (bass, vocals) and Ross (drums, vocals).

Aside from headline shows, Delorentos have also played with bands including Idlewild, Bell X1 and Whitey in locations as far afield as London, New York, Chicago and Toronto. With a sound that ranges from soft acoustic melodies to angular, driven guitar rock, Delorentos' powerful and captivating tunes have won them the beginnings of a dedicated fan-base in Ireland.
