Episode Five

Programme 5 features Kevin Cavey who is credited with being the granddaddy of Irish surfing, and at 67-years-old, the little problem of advancing age hasn't rid him of his adrenalin-junkie tendencies. He first spotted the potential of Irish waves over 40 years ago and hasn't stopped surfing them since. Cavey has surfed in places like Hawaii, Mexico, California and Peru but there's still sometime he would like to strike off his "to do" list.

This week the grey-haired dare devil is heading to Surfer's Paradise on Australian Gold Coast to try tow-in surfing, which is a combination of jet-skiing and surfing. This extreme sport is not for the faint hearted and would deter many surfers half Kevin's age, which makes him all the more determined to prove that he can do it and will test this surfer-dude to the limit.
