Hugo Malone, a sixty-something retired teacher from Mayo, spent 30 years teaching in a girl's school and always encouraged his students to follow their dreams. Now it's time for him to follow his own dream. Hugo's first love is comedy. From Dylan Moran to Laurel and Hardy, and the one thing he has always wanted to do is a professional stand-up comedy gig. This week Hugo's going to get his chance. We've arranged a gig for him; a prestigious support slot with one of his favourite comedians, Karl Spain, at a sold-out show in Cork City.
