Programme 1
- Keep a Diary and Prepare a Full Schedule for your activities.
- Schedule in Family and Personal Time as being as important as everything else.
- Leave Work at a certain time each day and leave work in the office.
- Balance extra work with extra family time. The more you take on, the more you take off.
- Keep an up-to-date To-do-List
- When you leave work, consciously switch things off and get closure.
- Mentally create a ritual to switch off yourself. (Shower, change clothes, etc.)
- Have an in tray and fill it with only immediate tasks. Everything else Defer, Delete or Delegate
- Use the 4 Quadrant Eisenhower System and identify the tasks which are urgent and important.
- Examine your business and ask yourself the question, what kind of changes can you implement that will make your job easier, better and more efficient and start implementing these changes.
- Ensure that you are delegating enough work to staff members.
Delete means getting rid of work that you don't feel needs to get done.
Defer means putting work off until a time you can do it.
Delegating means assigning someone else the responsibility to get things done.
